In 1970, armed with advice from her grandmothers, Linda launched a quilting project at a community mental health center and began her first quilt.  In 1987 she became a professional quiltmaker, and in 1989 a quilt artist.  For many years she had a dual career as a psychotherapist and an artist.  So often, the issues discussed in therapy were also represented in visual form in the quilts.  In 1999 she closed her psychotherapy practice and moved fulltime into the studio.  She now divides her time between commissions for residential and corporate clients, noncommissioned exhibit pieces, and quilt restoration.  Linda's work has been exhibited in juried shows and galleries, and published.  It has been the featured work in public space exhibits and can be found nationally in private collections.
